Elizabeth Marilla Kapp, LMSW, MFA
Writing
Elizabeth is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she received an Iowa Arts Fellowship and an Alberta Metcalf Kelly Fellowship. She is also the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship. Her writing has appeared in Fjords, West Branch, The Saranac Review, The Offing, Oversound, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere.
Clinical Work
Elizabeth specializes in mental health care for young people and their parents/caregivers. She offers Child-Centered Play Therapy for youth ages 3-10 and Person-Centered, ACT-informed support for parents/caregivers. Elizabeth also serves as a mental health first responder and a part-time children’s librarian.
Personal
Elizabeth is a member of the Prairie States Mushroom Club, a volunteer waitress at the Agape Café (free breakfast), a gardener with the Global Food Project, and a parent to wild and wonderful little kids.
